Job Description:
Our client who has been manufacturing in the State of Indiana since the 1960's has recently expanded into a brand new 30,000 square foot building.
They are in need of several CNC Machinists for their organization. Because of their continued growth they are looking to fill positions on 1st, 2nd and 3rd shift.
They run their own product line so runs can be as small as 10 parts up to 100 parts.
Your ability to Program (Mastercam available), Edit Programs, Set Up and Operate CNC machines is a must. They have 10 new Haas CNC Machining Centers in their facility.
JOB DUTIES
Defining CNC machining approaches on new work and improving quality and cycle time of current repeat parts.
Sets up and stabilizes production of components made from aerospace sector alloys (Ni Al Bronze, 17-4 pH Stainless, hardened 4130 Steel, etc) and petroleum sector alloys (Inconel, Nitronic 50, Toughmet, etc).
Designs and fabricates fixtures with team members as required. Verifies tool list and process documentation provided and updates as required to ensure smooth repeat set ups.
Supports CNC machine operators and provides training to ensure smooth operation.
Verifies process and CNC program by measuring and providing good first off for verification by QA.
Documents specified dimensions on an on-going basis throughout the production run to ensure good quality.
Follows quality system requirements to ensure AS9100C and ISO 9001-2008.
Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety and housekeeping procedures.
Performs equipment maintenance required by Operators, and advises the Area Supervisor if the Maintenance Technician is required immediately or scheduled.
Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs. Will operate Nakamura Tome WT 100, 150, 250 and 300 models.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
