Quality Engineer

Therma-Tru is currently seeking a Quality Engineer to work at our world class manufacturing facility in Butler, IN.
The Quality Engineer will work with engineers and technicians in the Molding department to lead cost improvement projects focused on internal and external quality. The QE will supervise, lead, mentor, and develop a group of quality technicians to identify continuous improvement opportunities. The QE will work with all facets of the supply chain from vendor (through purchasing & supplier quality) to customer to drive quality improvements.
Key
Responsibilities:
Timely communications to all appropriate functions
Drive down both the internal and external cost of quality
Implement permanent corrective actions to eliminate process and product defects
Utilize data to ensure proper focus and verify impact of improvements
Understand the voice of the customer and communicate it to the necessary functions
Identify gaps between current processes and standardized work
Work with needed groups to resolve quality problems; including customers / VOC, purchasing, supplier quality, design engineering, product management, process engineering, and manufacturing operations.
May perform other duties as assigned
A successful Quality Engineer will have:
4 year engineering degree
3 years of quality engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
Root Cause Analysis, PPAP, SPC, MSA, FMEA, and Control Plan experience a must
Lean Manufacturing experience
Excellent verbal and written communication Skills
Training
Experience: leading and facilitating
Ability to work in a cross functional team environment
